This search for crystals has taken me into some of the most remote landscapes where my human existence is dwarfed by the vast rugged ranges. What a find! ⚡️I was just going through my camera roll here and just found another epic clip from the “Thunderbolt Pocket” dug with @zakkshimizu and @fossic_king at the start of this year. What began as narrow Quartz pipe suddenly opened up into a huge pocket of giant crystals, submerged in mud and clay. The 3 days we spent digging were some of most gruelling, wet and muddy days I’ve experienced but I’m sure I speak for the 3 of us when I say it was the find of a lifetime and the soggy undies, taste of dirt and sliced fingertips were all worth it 🤣 . . . . . #crystals #smokyquartz #crystalline #crystalmagic #crystalenergy #crystalpower #crystalcollection #crystalcommunity #crystalcollector #amethystcluster #quartzcrystal #crystalvibes #crystalhealing #crystalsofig #crystalsofinstagram #geology #minerals #outbackcrystalhunters #exploringaustralia

Some more photography fun this weekend featuring this ultra rare Australian Phenakite crystal that I found a few years back. To my knowledge this still remains one of the only discoveries well-terminated gem Phenakite crystals in Australia, both clear and golden coloured crystals. A second pocket was located this year in a similar area featuring smoky Quartz crystals encrusted with phenakites and I’m super excited to announce I’ll be releasing a limited amount of both finds in the upcoming collection release on Instagram this weekend! I’ve been blessed with some pretty special Aquamarine finds during the last few months exploring far North Queensland. It’s hard to pick a favourite but this would have to be right up there! Reminiscent of the famous Medina aquamarines from Brazil, this beautifully complex etched crystal came out of a small pocket that I found in the O’Brien’s Creek area. Swipe for video. I’ve held off sharing this find for a while, partly because the footage was a little blurry but mostly because there is SO much gratitude and rawness behind this find that it’s hard to sum in a few words. In hindsight I almost regret filming it because it took away from just being in the moment. Thank you to those special people and to the mountains for gifting me this find.
