These last few weeks have been such a welcome change of pace for me, taking a break from being online and settling into the rhythm of camp life. Our daily crystal adventures have been full of challenges and a few mishaps but never short of laughter. The recent adventure I had down south was a tale of crystals both large and small. The find of a lifetime! I’m still pinching myself over this giant crystal from the “Thunderbolt Pocket”. Introducing the 2025 “Thunderbolt Pocket”. ⚒️ This last week will go down in my memories as one of the most incredible crystal digs I’ve ever done. Firstly again a huge thank you to @zakkshimizu for giving @fossic_king and myself the opportunity to help uncover these huge crystals. If you haven’t already seen it, check out my previous reel. The name “Thunderbolt” was inspired by the iconic Aussie bushranger and also the daily thunderstorms that would roll every afternoon. It was a muddy, gruelling week and countless trips with heavy backpacks but we are all still grinning. The find of a lifetime! Giant Crystal Discovery! What an honour it was to witness @zakkshimizu uncovering this huge smoky quartz crystal at a spot he discovered. Finding crystals of this size is usually a once in a lifetime moment and the sense of awe and magic is hard to put into words. What followed after this is nothing short of incredible (I’m still pinching myself) and was an epic team effort by @zakkshimizu, @fossic_king and myself. More on that soon but for now enjoy the magic of this moment (excuse the swear words we were all in complete shock! 🤣) (Kingsgate area, NSW, private property)
