I’ve been blessed with some pretty special Aquamarine finds during the last few months exploring far North Queensland. It’s hard to pick a favourite but this would have to be right up there! Reminiscent of the famous Medina aquamarines from Brazil, this beautifully complex etched crystal came out of a small pocket that I found in the O’Brien’s Creek area. Swipe for video. I’ve held off sharing this find for a while, partly because the footage was a little blurry but mostly because there is SO much gratitude and rawness behind this find that it’s hard to sum in a few words. In hindsight I almost regret filming it because it took away from just being in the moment. Thank you to those special people and to the mountains for gifting me this find. It’s hard to sum up in a few words what these last 5 months on the road (off-road actually) have been like.. I have a treasure trove of crystals and memories, the pockets of my jeans are filled with dust and dirt and my heart is full of horizons, both near and far. Never before have I spent such a vast amount of time immersed in nature, where every single day has been spent with my hands in the earth. It’s hard to pick a favourite find from this trip, but this incredible blue topaz crystal nestled jn its mica host rock would have to be right up there!! What a treasure!
